19-22 Nov / Edinburgh - Bicester - London

Edinburgh closed the trip with old stone and winter lights.

After the Highlands, Edinburgh brought the route back into city texture: gothic facades, palace lawns, chips, evening lights, and then the return south through Bicester and London.

Edinburgh

The city looked best in stone and grey light.

Edinburgh has a strong visual identity even in simple photos: old facades, narrow vertical lines, palace lawns, and that slightly dramatic grey sky that makes everything feel older.

Evening

Winter lights softened the city at night.

The night photos make Edinburgh feel less severe. The buildings stay grand, but the lights bring back a bit of warmth, especially after the colder Scotland road days.

Bicester and London

The ending turned brighter and busier again.

The final photos move back into England: red phone boxes, market lights, and London winter decorations. It feels like the trip closed by returning to city brightness after Scotland's heavier mood.
