So much green. Brighter and more fun than the rest of the trip.

The photos kind of say it all. Not the most dramatic stop, but a nice light finish. A bit touristy, a bit charming, and easy to enjoy once I stopped being so serious about it.

Green hills, soft paths, little details tucked into the slopes. After several cold, grey stops, all this green felt like the trip switching moods one last time.

The doors are the charm. Touristy, sure, but the good kind. You get why everyone still wants a photo.

Matamata and Hamilton work as the last stop because it’s slower here. Ending on something warm and simple makes the whole trip land better.
